Video shows cop slam and beat black pedestrian after alleged jaywalking

After watching the video, and listening to it, I have come to the conclusion that this incident was nothing more than a thug cop who wasn't going to be ignored. This overly violent, machismo approach to policing has become too prevalent. If you aren't a cop to help people, then you don't need to be a cop.

Inexcusable, it's people like this single officer that make the job so much harder for other officers. Being a police officer is a tough and often thankless job. It just goes to show you that bad people do bad things no matter how much remedial training you give them.

Yeah...can't say I disagree with you this time. That cop needs some time in front of a discipline board. The good news is the victim will probably get a new car out of it.
