I'm rereading George Orwell's 1984 and came across this story on BBC. How are they related? Simple. Nothing is as dull and drab as life under an authoritarian government. Can you imagine such a life? Would you want to live in such a world? This story is instructive in that it reminds us that not all Muslims are extremists, that they love beauty and art as much as any of us. I'm truly glad that it has returned to some of their lives. Let us fight and pray to prevent any such thing ever happening here.
