Interesting, so the State of California could not pull off funding or long-term construction for high speed rail nor could it find a private partner. Yet just like maybe a year later a private firm is making substantial progress in the same state working with LOCAL GOVERNMENTS to accomplish the same goals. Not only that but it seems like they have a willing banker and private funds for the project. Now you may ask, why couldn't the state pull this off between LA and San Francisco? Makes you wonder about how incompetent government has become with large infrastructure projects.
