A favorite song from the 80s. We could get Mexican radio stations at Valley Forge Gen. Hospital in the 70s- loads of power!

yes ZZ Top wrote a song called I heard it on the X which is the beginning of every Mexican call sign. I can hear 91x from TJ all the way into Los Angeles County depending on the weather.

I grew up in Texas ( Ft. Bliss and Bryan ) and Mexican stations often walked all over our stations, esp. late at night. Incidentally, a couple of my buddies and I worked backstage at a ZZTop show at the Bryan Civic Auditorium in late 70 or early 71, when they were still a blues band, right about when their first album came out. They didn't even have the beards yet.
