'Want him to be safe:' Wife says Turkish-Canadian imam Davud Hanci in solitary

Turkey is our NATO ally but its been in: 1. a fight with the Kurds who bomb from within.
2. President Edrogan almost was overthrown by a failed coup last summer but he has been rounding up Imams and others that he feels are threatening. One Imam was visiting Turkey and he is Canadian.

interesting story
I know only of dealing with them in the 70's and that was 40 years ago and the winds of time and change have swept across the country many times...
