Warrant Officers was high honors. Rookie officers take too long to make a decision.

Don't forget the Technical Warrants! There is a tremendous need for Signal Warrant Officers in the National Guard. Currently paying big bonus for 255N, Network Management Technicians. In WOBC you will learn Cisco Routing/Switching, Cisco ASA's, VOIP, and WIN-T. All skills learned are on commercial equipment so your skills translate directly to the civilian sector. I'm also looking into becoming a Signal Warrant or Cyber Warrant. I'm currently studying to get my Sec+ and N+ certifications. Is there anything else you'd recommend?

There's plenty to Learn PFC Espinel. Network+ and Security+ are great baselines to get started. I would recommend Cisco training, since the two Signal MOS's all have a 6-8 weeks worth of Cisco up front for training. Also, there will be Cyber MOS's coming out, so while you're learning some of the basics, always keep security in your background. SANS courses, ISC2, and even EC-Council training can be helpful. The more overall knowledge in the field the better you will be off when it comes time to put that "Dot" on.
