Ha! I'm in this in the background! I was with Alpha company 1-32, 10th Mountain Division. This was during Operation Mountain Fire in Barg-e-Matal Nuristan, on July 12th, 2009. This was easily one of the biggest fights we faced during our time in Afghanistan. Even though things got a little screwed up, the soldiers in my battalion literally gave everything they had to kill as many enemy as possible, on every rotation to the valley. Very proud of all my brothers who fought so bravely, and proud of the men who didn't make it back.

RIP SSG Eric James Lindstrom and SPC Alexander Miller

Let's not quit like I in Iraq. I am pissed at the POTUS about his Campaign promise that gave birth to ISIL.

LTC (Join to see), Lets not quit like in Iraq and Vietnam. We need to be proud of accomplishing the mission, not sorry we didn't.

He and Westmorland, for telling lies about body count and we were winning. It infuriated the public when they found out the truth, and saw pictures of dead kids.

SGT (Join to see) - Linebacker missions to bomb Hanoi and Haipong should have been done in 1966 NOT 1972. Jane Fonda and MI Lai massacre hurt too.

What upsets me the most is the negligent placement of soldiers in small combat outposts like KOP Keating. Areas that should have been reinforced on a much larger scale, which only held a platoon or less, resulting in mass US casualty engagements. Of course, none of us did this for our country alone; we did what we did for the man on our left and right. However, I started losing faith in high command leadership when placement of soldiers in hostile territory became a "shrug off" issue. Hopefully, and this is assuming the war in Afghanistan continues into the future, better placement tactics are implemented to keep our men safe when inevitable cercumstances happen.
