This NOVA program goes into the physical basis for memory formation and details how memories change when we remember them. This ability allows memory to be reprogramed, and it has been used to reprogram phobias to remove the fear - permanently. The thought is that this research might be useful to help cure PTSD.

Very interesting. Just last week my mother came over for a visit. She started to talk about something that happened years ago. Not a specific date just a place, and for some reason I could remember the address and phone number. I was only 5 years old at the time. Hell I cant remember what I did last Tuesday. Its scary to think that you can change your memories though.
