I've been saying this for quite some time. I hate it when they call MMA COMBATIVES....it not, it's nothing like it. U fight in a ring/octagon with a ref and rules. In real hand to hand Combat life or death there are no rules. Everything you are not allowed to do in the ring is what you do in hand to hand Combat. Ending the confrontation as quickly as possible with the least amount of energy. And going to the ground is never a good idea. It leaves you open for a boot to the face from someone else. And anything is a weapon. If I'm out of bullets I'm using my knife. If I drop my knife I will use my trench tool. If I lose that I will beat you to death with your own arm after I rip it off your body. Real hand to hand Combat has nothing to do with MMA. Wld it give them more of a edge then your normal cavilian, of course. But they wld still need to be restrained before hitting the battlefield..
