I think the real question is, is the opportunity there for people to succeed, be it black, white, or whatever. And if it is there for all to succeed than yes, he is right. How do you measure such a thing though?

I believe everyone has the opportunity to succeed but not everyone puts in the time or effort. You enhance your chances of success with education and hard work. The opportunities are out there but you need to have the desire and drive to take advantage of said opportunities. Those that do will succeed. IMHO
