Interesting. Some I agree with, some not. Not so sure about Belgium. Sure there are two regions but there doesn't seem to be any serous dislike between them. It is more like the good natured ribbing (more or less) in Canada between the French and non-French speaking regions.

But the Quebecois nationalist movement is very much alive & well. They had a referendum 20 or so years back but didn't split because the didn't want to lose the subsidies from the rest of Canada. Wanting their cake & eating it too... kinda like CA right now.

Sgt Wayne Wood - Yes, they have one of those low level dissatisfaction things with certain groups. Similar to what they mentioned with Alaska and Texas (and now California) in the US, but I don't think they will pull the trigger. But hey, I've certainly been wrong before.

SPC Kevin Ford - CA has actually had similar referendums before... they alway fail because not all Californians are both stupid AND insane.
