I said this before and i say it again. 2/3 of all illegal aliens come in via the ports of entry on valid visa and overstay. There is no system to check and make sure thry leave. Most of the hard drugs like coke, meth, and fent cross via the port in hidden compartment, or hidden as ever day items. Meth is turn into a liquid and hidden in coke cans, radiator and such.
So more drugs will cross though the port of entry, or over the wall aka airplanes, under it via tunnels, around it via ocean. Or they will simply knock sections down.
Remember the coast guard finds more coke then customs and border patrol

You have no way of knowing exactly what the percentage of people here illegally is that overstayed visas rather than crossed over the border, since that is an unknowable number. But even granting your number, it's not a reason not to build the wall. And if you think anything short of a military action is going to knock sections of the border wall over, you haven't been paying attention.

Looks after 10 and half years working on the border at the port I have a very good insight. Ice reports, gop reports dems report all show the 2/3 numbers. How do you think folks from asia, africa and europe get here?
BP only find weed cross the line, custom find almost nothing but herion, meth, fent and coke coming though the ports.
I seen new section of the wall get breeched after only a day. And the new wall all it take is a ladder and a rope ladder down the other side.
