"The Taliban appears to be continuing with its efforts to engage in a charm offensive since seizing power in Afghanistan in August 2021. Taliban fighters made their latest appearance relaxing on a tourist lake at Band-e Amir National Park in Afghanistan’s central province of Bamiyan. The hardline Islamic group has reportedly been trying to take a more conciliatory approach with the public in contrast to when it was previously in power. More than 20 years ago, television, most music, video games and other cultural activities in the country were banned under Taliban rule."
