Weird Al and some Canadian Truths that I experience living in Canada. Canadians do drink too much and even with $13 a pack, bums go through dumpsters to get bottles to recycle to buy their cancer sticks. Bob and Doug McKenzie do not walk around Edmonton anymore but it could be 80+ degrees outside and weird guys/Gals walk around with a hoodie on and not trying to have situational awareness while having a smoke . Back in ‘’83 I was up at Edmonton . We were going to Cold Lake CFB in the far north of Alberta Province.. about 50 of us.. I had a cigar J was getting ready to light up.. when a Alberta Denizen asked me if I had a smoke he could have.. I didn’t but offered to cut my cigar in half.. He started to pass on the cigar but changed his mind and accepted. So I got my little knife on my key fob and cut the cigar in half.. that gave each of us just a little over 3” each of Cigar.. .. He walked off before I could light his .. A constable came over and said it was mighty nice to share my cigar with a stranger.. I sad he’s a Vet .. I seen his maple leaf pin with a Military insignia .. so I helped out...
The officer asked how we got up.. Flew in, got bussed over to budget rent a truck and took possession of our motor pool..,
What you cut the cigar with? My dinky little knife.. had it in my satchel in the hold.. He shook his head.. I think he wanted to see if I had a bigger knife..
actually I had a whole tool box of pro chef knives and supportive feast..

I have not been to Cold Lake yet. They do have an air show. I have been to CFB Wainwright and I will go again to CFB Wainwright next spring for their Maple resolve exercise. You may have seen this political cartoon on Rally Point this week. Canada and it up buying some used fa-18 Alpha and Bravo models. They were going to buy Super Hornets but the government was spiteful due to Boeing saying Bombardier aircraft was dumping aircraft in the USA. Canada backed out of buying 18 or more Super Hornets. Instead, they bought some Junkie F-18 from Australia. That's what this cartoon is all about.
