Such tragic news. Our profession is a dangerous one, and it's not just the enemy that we have to be wary of.

Josh it is a very dangerous one. I was still a 2LT when I saw the ugly side of the profession. Over the years I guess I have just come to the understanding that it is a dangerous profession. If you train hard and prepare for war bad things happen.

Truth. Of the (far too many) friends and classmates I've lost over the last twenty years... most were in training incidents, or operational accidents not related to combat.
