Any "WheresGeorge"-ers in here? Anyone remember the website "WheresGeorge"? It was (and still is, btw) a U.S. currency tracking website used for fun, courtesy of a Mr. Hank Eskin. A couple of reseachers hit upon the idea, after figuring out that air travel was the fastest and easiest way an "Epidemic" became a Pandemic, to see how an epidemic spread within the confines of a much smaller area. Rather than building a tracking system from scratch and gathering necessary data which would take many years, they came upon the "WheresGeorge" website, which already had the tracking system and the data that they needed. Not sure how a peer review went, or the accuracy of associated data from their research went, or even if their data is being used at this time, but I thought it was a pretty good idea at the time. This is a very interesting read, especially in these times.
