My thoughts are, no matter what experiences 2nd Lt Cooling had, the fact remains that it's not the gender doing the job, it's the person.
At my fighting weight of about 170 lbs, I at 5'4" would have faced the same kind of challenges she had.
And I probably would not have made it either.
