Give an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of word processors and one is bound to create a Shakespearean play (I decided to update that old adage). In other words The Silliest Member of Congress has said something wise. Not a threat. Simply true. Every freedom comes with responsibility. In other words, words have consequences. I offend people daily with my words. I am likely offending someone with these, and I am prepared to take the consequences. Now, the question is, Is she prepared for the consequences of her own words?

I agree, a very wise statement. But taken in context and applying the tone that I understood it to be said in it was not Ben Franklin saying it, it was a threat of force if you don't say what I want to hear. So yes, say what you want but realize we will enforce the consequences if we don't like what you are saying. From the Quara answer: "This isn’t about left vs right, it’s about tribal thuggery vs freedom."

It is profound, yes. However, the "consequences" have been utter suppression of speaking out. Wrong consequences!
