The more i Read and see and understand it looks like the Military Political correctness and "Zero" tolerance is causing the majority of BCD's, and it is easier and cheaper to just toss the separated service members to the Curb...

PTSD has been called by various names over the millennia but is most likely has existed as long as Armies and Navy's have fought against each other SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL.
I was struck by the "no ceremonious farewell" since many service members PCS, ETS or even retire without a ceremonious farewell.
1. I have three honorable discharges. The second [1992] and third discharges [2004] were accompanied with ceremonies and awards, etc. The first [1978] was a quiet day similar to my transition into the retired reserve in 2008 and my reaching full retirement in 2016.
2. The policies of the current administration resulted in my oldest adopted son receiving a dishonorable discharge after serving three honorable years with 3/75th ranger battalion.
3. After being cleared of all charges in an Article 32 investigation and hearing hearing art Fort Benning, the recommendation was overturned by the MG commanding Fort Benning at the time who directed a general court-martial in 2011 for my son who was sentenced to 35 years at the Fort Leavenworth Disciplinary Barracks.
a. That court-martial was the modern day equivalent of a kangaroo court with all of my sons's ranger buddies deployed or assigned as court officers such as bailiff so they could not testify for my son, none of his positive service record was admissibly, etc.
b. God has intervened in the affairs of men for that son several times. Notably when the jail at Benning was full, my son was sent to an off-post jail whose administrator was his birth aunt. His maternal grandparents paid for lawyers throughout the appeals process which fell on deaf ears. My son has been working on two bachelor degrees while he has been incarcerated. My son was transferred at the end of last year to a medium security prison in WV which is apparently part of the process of being released following appeal.
c. That General who directed the Court Martial is part of the USMA class behind me and has been promoted twice and is now Commanding ARPAC.
4. When I served from 1974 to 2008 we had problems and some injustices occurred. We raised them up the flagpole and sometimes we won and sometimes we lost.
5. Things seem to have gotten much worse in the past decade. Special Forces soldiers punished for trying to protect young Afghan boys from sodomites who happen to be security force leaders was a recent case.

But that's what the military have always done. Unless that person was high ranking or he/she was particularly liked, the military ruthlessly stomps out behavior like this without finding out the root cause. Like SFC George Smith said, it's just easier and cheaper to toss the separated service members to the curb
