He's got a point where we still wpuld be involved in the middle East just not to the most extreme extent where we got roughly like 30,000 or so troops that are devoted to middle East operations in relation to GWOT

We were involved in the Middle East long before 9/11. I was at HQUSCENTCOM in the 80s and you can't imagine how difficult it was to get things like dedicated reconnaissance or satellite coverage. 9/11 caused a massive change in allocation of resources within the military. The fact that the fall of the Soviet Union contributed to the ability to change priorities also needs to be factored in to any discussion of what if 9/11 never happened.

True, very true sir. It was also the 90s which was a very Naieve time too the Soviet Union fell apart the country felt vindicated because for once America had no natural enemies on the board in terms of big bad enemy. Unfortunately we didn't fully consider or respect the treat small non state actor enemies would be. Like it was interesting how during the 90s with the rising terror attacks overseas especially against the US diplomatic and Military installations and the USS Cole no one really entertained the idea that this was just the start of something.

I've seen that before. Makes you think for sure PFC (Join to see) . But then again, it takes you back to also, what if Pearl Harbor never happened? That was a world wide game changer in how we fight war today.

Don't we all PFC (Join to see). But like me, you are one person trying to save a world full of people who won't listen until it's too late. You can lead a horse to water, but if you try to force it to drink you will probably get hurt. It's not the normal saying because there are no normal situations when it comes to force. You have to match power with power. The only way to do that is infiltrate the masses.

SFC (Join to see) - it's correct enough I guess the problem is appealing to the greater amount of people and get people to listen to one another too many polarized people don't want to listen to one another and stuck the idea that absolutely right and the rest are wrong.
