I'd pull out my map and compass. Every branch should train for degraded capabilities. Depending on any technology too much only creates vulnerability.

When last I flew, All the aviation maps, charts, navigation, communication, and approach charts/maps were still required to be in the aircraft and utilized: GPS was a heavily utilized “backup”. We still needed to be proficient with basic map reading, “needle, ball, and airspeed, the mag compass, dead-reckoning, and time-distance-heading and how to use the E6B. Have things changed that much in 20 years? Whew.

We have way too much reliance on technology, especially in the field. The Russians are proving in the Ukraine that they can take down technology and paralyze their opponents. Tech is great - when it works.
