That’s good info, Sister Charlie. WFL helps vets connect with each other and support each other when we at have trouble finding others like us, due to our separate deployments as individual replacements rather than as military units. That’s why WFL is valuable to me because I deployed to Vietnam as an individual replacement, rather than as a member of a deploying unit. I went overseas alone and came back to CONUS alone and immediately separated from active duty so I had no one to talk to about my combat experience until I joined RP and began participating in WFL. It’s made a big difference in my life to be able to share war stories and learn about other soldiers’ experiences who were there at different times or even at the same time as I was there in other units. I encourage others to join so that they can reap the same benefits.
