I have PCSed 10 times in 20 years in the army. That is a lot of stress, goodbyes, and broken hearts for my kids. The army can improve the quality of life and reduce stressors by PCSing us less.

Yes, that was the hardest part with my kids. We were lucky though with school as our moves usually took place when the kids were out of school.

SFC Steven Borders - I can empathize with my kids as I was a military brat. It really is hard to say goodbye often to your best friends and girlfriends. I have no sense of home now.

I'm an Army Brat and I moved many times, mostly in overseas locations (13 years worth) back in the 70s through the late 80s. It was hard to say goodbye, but I easily got over it and I was always excited about the new experiences and people I would get to know. It wasn't always easy to start over with friends and school, but it taught me invaluable people skills. I don't regret these experiences at all.

Letise Dennis I am an Army brat and had to move more than I wanted to. After the first couple of moves I learned that moving doesn't get any easier the more times you move!! That was the worst part of being an army brat.
