That sound like it may be interesting to read. The miro management of the War by LBJ and McNamara in My opinion was a major reason that things failed. No one could disagree with LBJ, You did everything His way.

Top down micromanagement of a protracted ground war and against an enemy which took advantage of jungle and developed tunnels to avoid bombing and observation was never a good idea IMHO PO1 Tony Holland
