I have often advised people to not become trapped in the "I have to find a job" mentality. Entrepreneurship is a great alternative. Well, at least it used to be. Aside from a brief stint as a federal bureaucrat and almost six years of active duty in the Army, I was an entrepreneur. I succeeded and I failed. Some times were hard and some were flush. It was a great adventure and provided me with a treasure trove of stories that I now exploit to build my last venture as a writer. Sadly, it seems that entrepreneurship is becoming a thing of the past and America is suffering for it.

I think this is one of the best questions on RallyPoint today. This is where a person's point of view clearly defines the problem. If the majority of us out of work aren't finding enough traditional 9-5 jobs we have to ask ourselves what am I doing wrong instead of only blaming the economy. That is clearly one of my problems. I don't have a strong business mind. I lack the creativity that is probably required to start my own business. I've always been one hard working mofo for someone else. Maybe we need to focus more on educating the kids on developing and creating business concepts?

Once America started shutting down little girls lemon aid stands, it showed where the government thought process was going. That and 10s of millions are on welfare waiting on the government to take care of them. Without a strong middle class, America will be like Europe. Sluggish economically with high taxes.
It is not over just yet for America. It appears, a lot of nationalists are rising up to challenge the Demonrats and RINO's business as usual this election. A Clinton win, will most likely mean open borders and a full blown North American Union.

CPT Jack Durish - It is troubling. I think there is more than one reason CPT.
It appears to me, the civilians within the VA system should be shown the door. Those found to have been real pukes, a few lashes on their backs going out.
Pain can be a reward for them.

Couldn't agree more... fear of failure ranks very high on the list of why someone doesn't go the entrepreneurship way.
