I was watching a video of CNN interviewing the founder of the Weather Channel (who has been doing the weather for about 60 years I am lead to believe). They were very disappointed and tried shutting him up at least twice, as he was stating this is FALSE. I myself will trust him long before I listen to Bill Nye and his mechanical engineering degree. Fist it was we were heading to the new Ice Age in the 70's and 80's. then it was global warming earlier this century, now it is climate change because they are not even sure if we are getting hot or cold, but we have to push SOME agenda. The weather channel guy stated that in the grand scheme of things, we are within a 5 degree spread of where we are supposed to be historicly (with a 10 degree variance). Also, for greenhouse gasses, volcano's put out more CO2 daily than all the humans on earth, trees need CO2 to live and grow, and the lowering of the waterline could be helped if when we throw out our water bottles, leave the caps off so the moisture can evaporate instead of being lost in the landfills.
I am NOT against using Green energy, but none of the green options are as reliable as, nor do they produce as much energy as the coal plants still in use (the exception is Nuclear plants, the one green energy the left hates more than coal). I encourage the innovators to continue working on alternate options, and hope they will come fully mature, but for now, coal / oil is what still drives this country. And for your wind power people, how about finding a way to keep the birds from being killed, instead of trying to shut down oil rigs over a lizard that is not even native to the area.
