But how will the US fight a land war if it does not have air superiority?

SSG Edward Tilton its hard to gauge just how superior we are in the air when our air-to-air battles are against the likes of Syria, or Syrian drones. I don't doubt our capabilities, but this was definitely not a true test of our capabilities :)

Not talking about just Syria. The Baltic States a hundred miles from Petrograd could be tricky. North Korea if the Russians and Chinese get into it. If we need to put 10-15 Division on a front or if we do not have air superiority. I don't even think we have the ability to train up a standing force

SSG Edward Tilton - you're absolutely right. Not right now, we don't.

An "air battle" was won against a significantly inferior opponent..... nothing to celebrate about, other than the crew involved getting recognition for it from their command (perhaps a medal/ribbon)...

Sgt Ivan Radusinovic my thoughts, exactly. The only thing that can be found to celebrate here is our 40 year old birds still got it. Other than that, there is no way Syrian pilots are on the same level as our flyers.
