The first step in buying a silencer is determining if suppressor ownership is legal in your state of residence
Currently, the following 42 states allow private ownership of suppressors:
AL, AK, AZ, AR, CO, CT, FL, GA, ID, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, ME, MD, MI, MN, MS, MO, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, NC, ND, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VT, VA, WA, WV, WI, WY.
Note: Even if you live in one of the states listed, you should still verify that owning a suppressor is legal in your area.

Yes, on Guam it's illegal, by law, Guam falls under the preview of the Federal Government, no matter what the local laws says. "10 years in a Federal Pen"

There’s always the “Polish Silencer” SGT James Murphy any appropriate size plastic bottle. And some duct tape !

SSgt Boyd Herrst - I was told that Polish Silencer does work, but on Guam, It'll still get you 10 years in a Fed Pen.

SGT (Join to see) - I'd just go to your local Gun Shop and Ask them as they are the ones that process the paperwork. I'm guessing based on our M60 purchase but it is probably more like 6 weeks. It also helps if you are in tight with local Sheriff.

All Gunshops know about them not all of them Sell them and some don't want the trade but they are very easy to get. The BATF Paperwork really isn't that bad and I've even helped a friend purchase an M-60 in the past when you could get one.
