The movies On The Beach, Failsafe. Dr Strangelove (AKA how I learn to not worry and love the bomb)and the ABC movie The Day After made me worry about nuclear war. I was born on October 28th 1962. That was 2 days after the United States and Russia slowly moved back from the brink of going to nuclear war with each over Russian medium range nuclear missles in Cuba. The Russians pulled theirs out of Cuba and we reciprocated and pulled ours out of Turkey and we promised no more Bay of Pigs invasions. Watch the movie Thirteen Days and see how close we were to nuclear Armageddon.
Climate science Fanatics and idiots protesting over Pipelines and pushing carbon tax fallacies should be more worried about nuclear war.
Governments like Canada, California and the European Union and all the other stupid countries that signed the Kyoto Accord should be more worried about nuclear war than about climate change. I am not joking. Just out of high school in 1980, I was too afraid to join the military because I thought of nuclear war with Russia. I ended up joining the military in 1994 and now we are in the same situation again with Russia being rearmed and with North Korea threatening us with their missiles.
The time is now to focus on preventing nuclear war and not the unlikely climate change 'being caused by man' fallacy.
Sorry if I'm preaching to the choir here on rallypoint but I'm really sick and tired of paying $0.50 a gallon more in Alberta Canada because of stupid climate politics. You that live in California are suffering the same and your gasoline prices are going to continue to rise due to the "ho hum" Democrats believing the climate science fallacy. I am paying $29 a month in carbon taxes during the winter because of liberals like Democrats in Canada that are also putting unfair taxes on natural gas.
Nuclear war is more likely than being able to change climate by taxing the hell out of individuals and corporations to try to force them to change their behavior which they will not do especially if you live in a cold climate in a country that has lots of oil at its disposal much to the anger of fanatic naive environmentalist protesters.
You can't blame Donald Trump concerning a pre-existing nuclear threat that we've had since 1948. Hopefully people will wake up and sober up and not be addicted to climate change fanaticism and focus more on deterrence and peace negotiations.

The United States "backed down"? Well, you are to be forgiven. You didn't live the event. You "learned" about it in school. [Sigh] As for a movie that "America desperately needs"? It won't be produced in America. The purveyors of our popular entertainment media are marching in lockstep with the purveyors of our popular news media, under the pall of the progressive Left. All you'll see is their propaganda...

No, I learned about it on my own. It was not taught in school but my wording was wrong. It has fascinated me since I was a teen, before the movie the Day After Came out, the week I was to be born, my mom and dad rehearsed driving to the hospital while the quarantine was being setup and the military moblized to DEFCON 3? and people were panic buying and building makeshift bomb shelters. I am not a liberal apologist to anything.

Know we harassed Soviet shipping bound for Cuba so probably did subs as well. Not designed for warm water is a new one on me, any Navy RPers want to chime in. Sounds too Hollywood'ish to me.
