Because visiting the United States might soon be a reason to help a neo-fascist administration conduct surveillance on you. We seem to be heading back in the direction of Total Information Awareness. This is something no freedom loving American should want...

I am going to piggy-back here. While people being processed for entry aren't necessarily subject to the Constitution, I could see how this could raise some 4th amendment concerns. There is a high likelihood that this type of collection could ensnarl US citizens, specifically if you are asking for contacts upon entry into the US.
So, now, just by virtue of a non-citizen entering the country, US citizens are now on some list or in some database that is then used for vetting immigrants or visitors.
