SGT (Join to see), Thanks for posting, Sir! Just as we had an organic Air Force in our US Army Air Air Forces (USAAF), technically, we've already had a space corps via US Space Command (USSPACOM) organic to our USAF, especially before it OPCONed Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM). I trust that if we were to "follow the money," we'd find some of our nation's 20 trillion dollars in debt linked to the FREE "Space Situational Awareness (SSA)-services we provide to our allies. Hence, one of Secretary Mattis's priorities was for our allies to start paying their fair share in such expenses.

I see only one option. If a "separate corps" isn't going to be established, then the only solutions are to train Marines for space to earth operations and boarding parties, the air force conducts space intelligence, the Navy is in charge of the vessels, and the Army will stand by for Mars occupation.

I'm trying to wrap my head around how this will work. I mean, I'm all for it, but this has years of planning in the making to get it right.
