Great article, but I think the title is misleading. In my opinion, I don't think pre-judging a group can always be considered hate. However hate can surely be a by-product of extreme prejudice and fear. Most, if not all, people have prejudices regardless of intelligence. What is important, if people recognize their prejudice and use their intelligence to make an effort to get all the facts about the groups they fear. Unfortunately, dehumanizing is much easier and some cases more satisfying to people who are afraid all the time. Also, if prejudice is a result of childhood upbringing, I don't think how smart a person is will have much impact. I know some really smart, university educated people that are extremely prejudice.

I personally thought the same things. I finished reading the title and immediately thought "did I miss something?".

Let's see... How about this "...the smarter subjects in their study were likely to be prejudiced against groups considered conventional or conservative." Translated: "Liberals smarter than conservatives". Then there's "...conservative communities across the country are unifying around intolerance of transgender people, Muslim Americans continue to face grotesque prejudice, and police brutality is high." Translated: "Conservatives are bigots." Need I say more?

SGT Efaw (Mick) G. - there's no sense to read further into this, it's moronic. As CPT Jack Durish points out any "science" displaying a bias and political affiliation is as factual as an HRC conference. If you vote left, you'll be smarter. Roger that.

No sense talking down mutt. I'll clarify, in a simple form here. I don't believe this shit and I also don't believe people who are truly intelligent vote democrat. Period.
