Would you agree that this is important news, news that you would like to know? Well, I do and here I am again. I find stories like this on the Internet. Not the news media on the Internet. Just some likely sounding "expert" discussing a current event that I haven't heard anyone else talking about, certainly not the "main stream media". It seems they're too busy flying cover for the Biden Administration (or previously attacking the Trump Administration) to pay attention to real news.
If the main stream media had broadcast this story, would you believe it? Yes, this is a rhetorical question inasmuch as the MSM don't have time for news that doesn't have any apparent political implications. Me? No, I wouldn't. I'd believe this guy and not them. He sounds like he knows what he's talking about. They don't.
All that being said, I have long complained that one of America's biggest mistakes (crossing all parties and Administrations) is the death of the American merchant marine. Think about it. As this person rightly points out in his video, there is no other means of transportation that can move massive amounts of goods economically and efficiently than ships. That means they have strategic value. The same ships that serve us in peace can serve us in war. Sadly, we allowed our merchant marine to die and must now depend on others to move our war materials and personnel en masse or use air transport.
How could we have saved our merchant marine? I believe there's a simple solution. Keep in mind that America is the world's greatest consumer and everybody else wants to see their products here. Now, imagine if we had welcomed them to send their products here with the rule that they must be shipped in American flagged ships. Other nations employed this simple rule and they still have a merchant marine...
