COL Charles Williams I truly believe that there is a concern effort and focus by these women to excel and prove the system wrong. There is nothing wrong with that. I think that is how everyone Male or female should tackle any objective, goal, training, or position. There should be no difference in standards when it comes to any position in the combat arms or services for anyone male or female. We need individuals that will perform in those duty positions under extreme pressure, danger, and conditions - that should be the bottom line - just my opinion Charles - thanks for sharing the article.

Right, fast promoting women has been going on since I was in. There are different standards so your notion that there shouldn't be any is misplaced.

Cpl Jeff N. - I realize there are different standards on certain things like APFT and body fat, etc., but if they are going to be allowed in the combat arms - they need to meet the same "training standards" to complete the course (that is what I'm referring to Jeff). I've served for 37 years, so I understand the differences in the current standards between men and women. Thanks

CPT Jared Speaks - Great point and I don't disagree! I've seen this first hand in many cases during my tenure Jared.
