I know that many will complain that this article is overwrought. Even the headline sounds fanciful. However, I live in California. I have since 1975 and I've watched the transition. It happened quickly. We were still going gangbusters at the end of the Cold War. It only took us two years to replace the jobs lost when it ended, and we added thousands more as well as countless new businesses. But then it turned. Don't let it happen to your home state. Look at California's recent history as a cautionary tale...

The interesting thing is that in a matter of time Texas will be a blue state as well, largely due to immigration. The metropolitan areas of Texas are sanctuary cities, and Hillary won in nearly all urban counties, Fort Worth and Tarrant county being an exception.

CPT Jack Durish I'll have to agree with you I first came to California in 1982. Then after I got off active duty I came back here to live. Yes the place is very much different from when I first arrived here. Here in the Bay Area where I live at times it seems as though I am in a foreign third country. I guess I'll have to take the good with the bad. Not to mention the strict gun laws here for legal gun owners. Because well off course the criminals don't care about the laws. Thanks for sharing.
