More then most people realize I know because I have quite a few friends who go there and one was write for blog and one of topics they are fascinated in is environmental issues and how they recycle batteries in China is very disturbing indeed just too put a very long story short.

If you want to reduce the amount of plastic waste on the plant significantly we should eliminate the single serve plastic drink bottles (water, soda, teas, juices etc.). Recycling works best when there is a lower supply of items to recycle and a high demand on the reuse side. That keeps the costs at levels recyclers can live with. Right now there is lots of plastic out there, reducing the amount used would be good for recycling.

It's reasonable I would be down for it I just need to know how to sell that to the American public.

We could go back to paper cups, etc. instead - made from hemp (like that used to make rope) which is as good or better for manufacturing paper products trees are used to make, and recyclable too. The speed with which the crop is renewable makes it ideal. Bamboo and Arunda are also excellent - including wood from bamboo.
