Interesting read Chief. I haven't heard of this yet, but I also only buy a box of shells for pig/deer hunting ever couple years or if I knock my Scope off. I do a little Waterfowl Hunting so I have bought/seen Steel, Nitro, and/or other than Lead Shot. I always thought Copper Rounds were for Large Game Animals like Buffalo (Water & Capped) and other huge thick skinned Exotic Animals. I guess if they can work out the expansion issues of the Copper to cause good clean kills with well placed shots it won't be too bad. I just worry that shooting a Whitetail which is a fairly soft target you won't get efficient expansion for a clean kill.

Try hollow point copper bullets. They're designed to expand rapidly in soft targets.
