| Why did the Luftwaffe 'fail' at Dunkirk ?

Its really hard to say they "failed" when it was impossible to accomplish the mission they were assigned. The Germans should have made it a combined arms campaign. As is many operations it was logistics that won out. The British managed to put together the transportation to evacuate and the Germans failed to have the equiptment, ammo, fuel and Manpower in the right position.
