The Crusaders are not deplorable except to radicalized-Muslims who limit the name Crusade to middle eastern warfare between the 9th and 12th century SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL. In our culture crusades are closely associated with standing up for those in need of help from Jerry Lewis's yearly crusade to Billy Graham's crusades.
Just because a militia group decided to name itself the “Crusaders” does not mean that the baby should be thrown out with the bathwater.

The original Crusaders were also developed to provide security to people that were trying to visit the Holy Land, and being killed and attacked by Muslims... but Islamaphobia ruins people from thinking rationally.

Interesting that you think the Crusader logos are bad. How are they any worse than black cats, half naked women on airplanes, pictures of dams blowing up....ad nauseum. It's petty to pick out the crusader symbols and try to make a case for them helping terrorism. If you are so interested in not seeing those symbols, get away from the Military. Go hide in a hole somewhere where only your viewpoint will be seen.
It's very telling how you want "freedom" from these symbols. So you want to take away other people's choices and impose your own choice. For freedom. Hmmm.

You need to take a look at this author.

"Mikey Weinstein is the founder and president of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation. The opinions expressed are his own and do not necessarily reflect the views of Military Times or its editorial staff."

He continually advocates for the outright elimination of anything spiritual, kind of counter to the name of his organization. He apparently is taking time out from picking on the Air Force Academy to address this "burning issue".
