Of course Biden butchered the paraphrased quote. The “tree of liberty” line stems from a letter written by Thomas Jefferson to William Stephens Smith, the son-in-law of John Adams.
“What country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms,” Jefferson wrote. “The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.”

"Shotgun Joe" has forgotten (if he ever knew it) that the British, Russians, French, and Americans etc, with all their air force, armor, artillery, naval forces etc. were defeated by some rag-tag natives with obsolete weapons.
I recommend Joe read the story of Michael Collins, the "urban guerilla" who gained liberty for Ireland with the help of a few guns and his "twelve apostles". He succeeded against the military might of the British Empire, and achieved freedom after 700 years of fruitless "conventional warfare".

He obviously is driven by fear. I for one have no plan on attacking the government with violence. However, supporting efforts to uncover things such as voter fraud through an appropriate group are definitely worthwhile to keep government in line. Where as the 2nd Amendment goes a long way in preventing normal productive citizens from falling victim to a pack of drug addicts salivating to strip them of their property and life for a quick high.
