As I look to my peers, this article reminds me of the parable of the ant and the grasshopper. Many of my peers partied hard while my wife and I toiled - we could have had the sports car, but the sedan served its purpose, etc. Yet today, we are a bit more than comfortable and look at those same peers who are busting their butts. Our kids, nieces and nephews have all heard this lesson from us as well as those I've coached or led in scouting. Financial math needs to be taught.
