With 39 million people your bound to have a couple of cry babies who take their toys and run.

Hmmmm. I did not see him crying. Just stating I am moving and this is why. Maybe 20,000, +/- a few hundred, companies and over $100 Billion who have already left are just "a few cry babies" in your estimation.
I lived in S Hollywood and Silver Lake areas of LA for nearly 3 years. I left back in the 80s. Even then I could see which way the state was trying to go. Do you live in CA? If so, north of San Fran, or east of the SD/LA/SF metropolises? And by east I mean way out in the valley. If so, the impacts of these once great cities don't affect you anywhere near as much as actually living in/around those 3 cities.
From 2008 - 2016:
"The study estimates that 1,800 relocation or "disinvestment events" occurred in 2016, the most recent year available, setting a record yearly high going back to 2008. About 13,000 companies left the state during that nine-year period."
"During the study period, 275,000 jobs and $76.7 billion in capital funds were diverted out of California. "
This does not include any data for 2017-present.

Aditi Roy, a CNBC reporter based in San Jose, identified some of the companies moving their headquarters out of California, which she included in her “Power Lunch” story about a record number of people leaving the state.
“Spectrum Location Solutions [told] us between 2008 and 2019, 18,000 companies have left California for more tax and regulatory friendly states … those companies include Charles Schwab, McKesson and Carl’s Jr. just to name a few,” she reported.
“A new migration report by Redfin finds that in July more people are looking at leaving San Francisco and Los Angeles than any other metro area other than New York.”

Do some research my friend. It is not a few cry babies leaving. It is almost everyone who has the means that is leaving.

The problem is that it's changing the politics in Florida. For those of you that are Democrats you get very excited about this. It's a good thing it's only 29 points on the path to the White House.

It already changed Colorado from red, to purple to blue. Texas is going purple, and the list goes on. The problem is too many bring the blue with them, then wonder why things start to go downhill where they are. First, the neighborhood, then the town, the city next, then the county...

SSgt (Join to see) I heard that when Californians showed up in Texas they went straight to the capital and said "Here. This is your new state constitution." Apparently they're still laughing hysterically. In their best Looney Tunes Foghorn the rooster imitation it went something like "Boy? I say what boy?"
