It had something to do with the original design and the Location of where the memory and Operating language and Binary codes were Found... I took those Classes 30 years ago and cant remember ... I have a beer or 3 since then and DX'ed 2 wives...

THat was a good bit of trivia. While it is old and archaic, Windows will still only boot from the drive that is designated C:\ It has become engrained in our computer culture. Just like the icon of a 3.5" floppy has for the save function.

I learned to code on these early PC and remember installing and formatting each floppy disk in the a and b drives. Our early Tandy models 1 & 2 booted from the a: drive with DOS, the c: drive was expensive at first and was not standard until the mid 80s.
