Yeah, I was stationed in California, and I could not take my Assault Rifle with me. (Yes, a full automatic AR-15 legally registered with FBI). I would have gone to jail as soon as I passed the state line. The Air Force reminded me about that when I got orders to go their. Had to leave California as soon as I retired, and get back to Texas.
