The whole Fed involvement with drugs is reactionary. Either they are protecting big Pharma or the Ag industry. Let the States control medicine! There is no enumerated power given to the Feds to put their nose under this tent.

But the same thing repeats it self at the state level, which is easy to prove because too many state officials represent big Pharma; legalize medicinal marijuana states are better.

Anytime you have a government agency capable of writing its own laws (policies they can enforce on the people through any means they deam acceptable) you will have overreach. The alphabet agencies have been granted the power to write law and skirt the Constitutional requirement the legislative branch write law by calling them policies.

Agree with PO1 Crafton, The FDA is the root of the problem. I too disagree with pot, but I have seen how it can help some people out. But, like so many other things out there, there is a lot of abuse. My problems with the FDA go beyond this one item into to many to count, allowing bad chemicals into our food supply that is creating the conditions of obesity in our country is even bigger, but banning a candy that has a treat inside because "it may create a choking hazard" (if you can call a smurf toy that, but wait, we sell them here just without the chocolate) just to highlight 2 of my beefs with them. So I would say do away with the FDA as well as most of the rest of the alphabet soup agencies, except the DEA, they should be turned into a club we could join. ( insert laugh track please)

Never used the stuff. Have no desire (unless I begin suffering some ailment it can alleviate). Still, it has been proven time and again that prohibition not only doesn't produce the desired results, but also causes far more harm.
