The problem they're not discussing much of is support. This Canonical and Microsoft thing is still grey area. Ubuntu has (and still does) some sneaky BS.
For example, Linux users, check your default search engine URL's in the browser settings to ensure Canonical isn't getting analytic info on your searches. I know it's in the DuckDuckGo default. I always have to remove that.
