An atheist points out the problem that many theists have in trying to convert atheists. It starts with ignorance on the part of the theists about what atheists actually believe, and continues with a form of arrogance that they know everything that they need to know about atheists. Both positions are wrong.

I just don’t agree with forced conversion of anyone. You present the ideology of all sides and let the individual decide what makes sense to them. I myself embraces religion to a point but also embrace science and empirical facts.

LTC Stephan Porter In what way are they mutually exclusive? After all, if there is a creator that created all we see and can theorize then it's safe to believe He created the knowledge, the principle science, and the empirical knowledge exists as part of His plan . The three are indeed mutually inclusive of one has an open minded about it. Much like fate vs. choice debate i had in HS and in college.

I have never heard of a theist converting an atheist, but I have seen plenty of atheists who converted themselves

MAJ James Woods - Of course they do My comment was that I've never seen a theist convert them. A theist may welcome another "doubter" to the fold, but I have not seen an atheist motivate the believer to stop believing. That is simply Capt Gregory Prickett 's hubris speaking

Well yeah, everyone is born an atheist until indoctrinated into a religion. So every single person in a religion is a prior atheist.
