CPT Jack Durish the definition of ‘uniform’ seems to have changed...I am not against freedom of religion or expression; however, no one is Required to serve in the Military! We don’t have the draft!

The individuals who are receiving these waivers are all dentists, doctors, psychologists, etc... Highly skilled individuals in fields that the Army desperately needs. Put bluntly, they don't have to serve at all. Thy don't need the Army. The Army NEEDS them to serve. Hence the accommodation. When you're that in demand, it's a sellers market.

Not only is this not an issue with modern masks, but trying to sell down the integrity of Sikhs is going to be a hard sell. Especially from the position of modern conservatism.

I prefer to NOT give my enemies a handle with which to guide my face down onto a bayonet. The Sikhs I have met are good Americans and fiercely loyal; I would choose to fight beside them sooner than some of the other citizens I've met in my life.
