Why we lost the war in Afghanistan

I guess I am still waiting for CONGRESS to declare War. Just like Vietnam and Korea, the Congress has no problem sending Americans to die (so long as they are not related to anyone in Congress) without declaring War and setting the goals as to what will end the fighting. You can't win when they change the goals at will.

A decent assessment, I think things wouldn't have been as unmanageable in Afghanistan if we hadn't invaded Iraq. Afghanistan we probably would have still been fighting there but the situations would have been under more control. Iraq caused to divert vital attention and resources away from Afghanistan and allowed Al-Qaeda Taliban to regroup and adapt. Never bite off more then you can chew and that's what happened here.
