Here is a widescreen trailer for "Colossus, the Forbin Project," a great sci-fi film from 1970, taken from a Laserdisc copy of the film. Oddly enough, this m...
That is awesome and I didn't even know what it meant till I looked it up. I guess I'm getting old. I just told my ten-year-old daughter about it.

This is a highly underrated end prescient film that is largely unknown to younger audiences.
Actor Eric Braeden plays the role of the scientist that creates the artificial intelligence, and then try to destroy it.
Ultimately the story is about man, who loses control of his tools and this is what we face now with artificial intelligence. Is coming whether we are ready for it or not.
Pardon any typos or grammatical errors as I am dictating this from my phone and don't have an edit feature.

The artificial intelligence Story on rallypoint made me think of this movie. It may be old but just like the old movie Andromeda Strain, it was way ahead of his time.

LTC (Join to see) I was such a huge science fiction fan as a kid having regulary read Analog magazine which was edited by John W Campbell.
I think I read the foundation Trilogy when I was about 14, followed by Fred Saberhagen's Berserker series. There really were some incredible writers in the sixties and seventies. A few of them like Harlan Ellison and DC Fontana went on to write for Star Trek.
And of course we cannot forget the original One Step Beyond, Twilight Zone and outer limits. All of which expanded our Horizons and Imagination.
